Chapter 3: Escape from the Ship
“Alarm! Alarm!” The ship’s computer blared, its voice piercing through the silence. “Fuel levels critical! We’re going to crash!”
Kaisan and Austria rushed to the control room, their hearts racing. “What’s happening?” Kaisan asked, his eyes scanning the screens.
“We’re out of fuel,” Austria replied, her voice tight with worry. “We can’t enter Earth’s atmosphere.”
The children gathered around, their faces pale with fear. “What do we do?” Antonio asked, his voice trembling.
Kaisan’s eyes locked onto Austria’s. “We need a crazy idea, a very dangerous crazy idea.”
Austria’s eyes narrowed. “I think I have one.”
“Transporter!” Antonio exclaimed. “We can use the transporter to beam down to Earth!”
Austria nodded. “It’s our only chance.”
But as they activated the transporter, the ship’s power faltered. “No, no, no!” Austria cried, her hands flying across the console. “We’re losing power!”
The transporter beam flickered, then died. The ship plunged towards Earth, its engines sputtering.
“We have to get out of here, now!” Kaisan shouted. “Escape pods, go!”
The children scrambled to the escape pods, their hearts pounding. “Who’s going with who?” Mida asked, her voice trembling.
“I’ll take Abisai and Amelia,” Baail said, his eyes locked onto Austria.
Austria hesitated, then nodded. “Okay, let’s go.”
The escape pods blasted off, their engines roaring as they hurtled towards Earth. Kaisan and Austria’s pod shook violently, its hull groaning under the strain.
“Hold on!” Kaisan shouted, his arms wrapped around Austria.
The pod slammed into Earth’s atmosphere, its heat shield glowing red-hot. The impact threw them against the seats, their bodies straining against the restraints.
The pod careened out of control, its engines sputtering. Kaisan and Austria exchanged a terrified glance.
“This is it,” Austria whispered. “We’re going to crash.”
The pod slammed into the ground, its hull crumpling like paper. Kaisan and Austria were thrown forward, their heads spinning.
As the dust settled, they stumbled out of the wreckage, their bodies battered and bruised. They looked around, dazed, and saw the other pods scattered across the landscape.
“Everyone okay?” Kaisan shouted, his voice hoarse from the crash.
Mida and Antonio stumbled out of their pod, their faces pale with shock. Nova and Sirius emerged from their pod, their eyes wide with fear.
But where were Baail and Abisai?
Kaisan and Austria exchanged a worried glance. “We have to find them,” Austria said, her voice firm.
As they searched the wreckage, they realized that Baail and Abisai’s pod was missing. It had malfunctioned, crashing far from their intended destination.
Kaisan and Austria looked at each other, their hearts heavy with worry. They knew that they had to find their friends, no matter what it took.
And so, they set off into the unknown,
The journey to Earth was filled with uncertainty and danger, but together, they would face whatever challenges came their way in this new world of unknown possibilities.
