A 13 year old girl named jasmine who is in middle school who has a crush on two of her friends and has to choose ..one of her friends is sweet and charming and ,the boy is named Levi ,and the second one is named Zane and he’s a basketball player.

The fluorescent lights hummed overhead, casting a sterile glow over the crowded lunchroom. Jasmine, perched on a wobbly stool, felt a familiar warmth bloom in her cheeks as Levi approached. He was all sunshine and smiles, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he said, “Hey Jas, you mind if I sit?”

He was everything she’d ever dreamed of in a boy: kind, funny, and with a smile that could melt glaciers. Levi was the kind of boy who made you feel like you were the only girl in the world. He was the one she’d known since kindergarten, the one who made her laugh, the one she’d always been comfortable with. But then there was Zane.

Zane, with his broad shoulders and effortless swagger, was the star basketball player. He was cool, aloof, and seemed to effortlessly command attention. When he entered the lunchroom, a hush fell over the room, all eyes turning to him. He hadn’t noticed her yet, his gaze fixed on his friends.

Jasmine’s heart thumped against her ribs. She felt like a puppet, pulled in two different directions by two completely different boys. Levi sat down next to her, his presence a comforting balm. He asked her about her new math project, and she found herself laughing at his witty jokes. But then Zane, with his signature laid-back smile, plopped down across from them, throwing a basketball at Levi’s head.

“Hey, Zane,” Levi retorted playfully, catching the ball. “Need to learn how to aim, bro.”

Jasmine watched, enthralled, as the two boys bantered back and forth, a playful tension crackling between them. Zane’s eyes met hers for a second, and she felt a spark ignite within her.

The weeks that followed were a whirlwind of stolen glances, shy smiles, and confused emotions. She found herself looking forward to lunch with Levi, eager for his stories and his kind, gentle nature. But then, she would find herself staring at Zane during gym class, mesmerized by his athletic grace and undeniable charisma.

The conflict gnawed at her. She couldn’t bear to hurt either of them. Levi, with his open heart and unwavering loyalty, deserved to be treated with kindness and respect. But Zane, with his enigmatic charm, ignited something within her, a fire she couldn’t ignore.

One afternoon, as she walked home from school, she found Zane waiting for her. He was leaning against a tree, his arms crossed. “Hey, Jasmine,” he said, his voice low and husky. “We should hang out sometime.”

Her heart hammered in her chest. This was it, the moment she had been waiting for, the moment she had to make a decision.

“I…” she began, her voice barely a whisper. “I don’t know. I mean, I’m really good friends with Levi…”

Zane’s brow furrowed slightly. “Yeah, I know. But I like you, Jasmine.”

She looked at him, his gaze unwavering, his face a study in intensity. He was handsome, no doubt, but he wasn’t Levi. And then she remembered Levi’s smile, his warmth, his genuine interest in everything about her.

“I’m sorry, Zane,” she said, her voice firming. “I can’t.”

He nodded slowly, his expression unreadable. “Alright,” he said, turning to leave. “Just let me know if you ever change your mind.”

She watched him go, a strange feeling of relief washing over her. She had chosen, and in doing so, she had found her own strength. She was thirteen, and she had the courage to follow her heart. She knew that Levi, with his kindness and understanding, would be her friend, her confidante. And Zane, well, he would just have to accept that some things were just meant to be.

As she walked home, she smiled. It wasn’t easy, but she had finally chosen. She had found her voice, and she had learned that sometimes, the most important thing was to stay true to herself.
