Q&A: Bully Scenarios for Charlie
Q: What would be some new scenes (possibly in Episode 2 as well), where the bullies continue to trip Charlie, list when, and if Charlie is going somewhere list where she/she is going?
A:
- Episode 2, Hallway: As Charlie walks to her locker after 3rd period, the Bully Leader (let’s call him Jake) hides behind a locker and sticks out his foot, tripping her. He and his goons laugh as Charlie scrambles to her feet.
- Episode 2, Cafeteria: Charlie is heading to the lunch line, her stomach grumbling. As she navigates the crowd, Jake and his goons sneakily place a banana peel in her path. She slips and falls, landing with a thud.
- Episode 2, Bathroom: (See next Q&A)
Q: Would the bullies mess with Charlie, even when Charlie is going to the restroom at School?
A: Absolutely! Bullies often pick on people even in situations where they should be left alone. Here’s why it would make sense for Jake to target Charlie even in the restroom:
- Power Play: It reinforces their dominance and sense of control. He wants to show Charlie he can affect her life even in private spaces.
- Humiliation: It’s about making Charlie feel vulnerable and powerless.
- Entertainment: Jake and his goons might find it funny and enjoy the reaction.
Q: What restroom does Charlie go to at school?
A: Charlie, being a female student, would go to the girls’ restroom.
Q: What would happen if Charlie was tripped by the bullies, when Charlie is going to the restroom?
A: This would be a particularly impactful scene:
- Charlie is in a hurry: Maybe she’s feeling nauseous or has a sudden need to use the restroom.
- The trip: Jake might place a strategically placed obstacle outside the bathroom door.
- The fallout:
- Humiliation: Charlie, now in front of other students, would be incredibly embarrassed.
- Possible Injury: She could fall hard and hurt herself.
- Fear: This incident could make Charlie afraid to leave her classroom without supervision.
Q: Write a scene where they trip Charlie on the way to the restroom.
Scene:
Charlie rushes out of her 5th period class, her stomach churning. She feels a desperate need to use the restroom. She weaves through the hallway, her eyes scanning for the girls’ bathroom. Jake, perched near the lockers, grins, spotting her. He subtly reaches down, placing a small, smooth rock in her path.
Charlie’s eyes are fixed on the bathroom door, and she doesn’t notice the obstruction. As she takes a step, her foot connects with the rock, sending her tumbling forward. She crashes to the floor, her books and belongings scattering around her. A wave of shame and anger washes over her as she looks up to see Jake and his goons bursting into laughter.
“Nice one, Jake!” one of the goons calls out.
Charlie feels tears welling up in her eyes as she tries to gather herself, her face burning with humiliation. She can’t believe they would do this, even on the way to the bathroom.
“Leave me alone!” she yells, her voice shaking with anger. She struggles to her feet, the laughter of her tormentors echoing in her ears.
Dialogue for Charlie’s experience with the crystal and her friends:
Setting: Cafeteria, lunchtime. Charlie, Ashley, and Timmy are seated at a table.
Charlie: (holds up the blue crystal, a look of wonder on her face) “Can you believe this? It was glowing in the alley! It’s like… magic.”
Ashley: (eyes wide) “Wow! That’s so cool! What are you going to do with it?”
Timmy: “Yeah, it’s definitely a keeper! You should check if it’s worth anything.”
Charlie: (shaking her head) “I don’t want to sell it. It feels… important.”
Ashley: “It’s probably one of those rare crystals that people collect, maybe it’s worth a fortune!”
Charlie: (chuckles) “I hope it doesn’t attract any bad luck. You know, it’s weird… I saw someone in the alley with a glowing object like this. They ran off before I could talk to them.”
Timmy: (raises an eyebrow) “A glowing object? That’s creepy! What did they look like?”
Charlie: “I couldn’t really see their face. They were wearing a hooded cloak, but they were definitely carrying something that was glowing blue, like this crystal.”
Ashley: (takes a bite of her pizza) “Maybe it’s a crystal guardian! You know, like from that news report this morning.”
Charlie: “What news report?”
Ashley: (frowning) “The one about Blue. They said he was a member of The Crystal Guardians, and he fell… They think his crystal is lost.”
Timmy: (nods) “Yeah, that’s right! Remember, they said the guardians protect something super important!”
Charlie: (her eyes widen) “No way! That’s crazy! Could it be… Do you think this crystal belongs to the Crystal Guardians?”
Ashley: “Maybe! It’s definitely a possibility!”
Charlie: (her voice drops to a whisper) “I’m scared… What if it’s dangerous?”
Timmy: “Don’t worry, Charlie. We’ll figure it out together. Just don’t go showing it off to everyone, okay?”
Charlie: “Thanks, Timmy. You guys are the best.”
Ashley: (leans in conspiratorially) “So, any news on Nick?”
Charlie: (blushing) “He… he looked at me in 6th period.”
Ashley: (a sly grin spreads across her face) “Oh yeah? Is that a good sign?”
Charlie: (shakes her head) “I don’t know, but I can’t help but think about it. Maybe I should go say hi to him tomorrow.”
Timmy: “Go for it, Charlie! But watch out for Jake and his goons. They’re not exactly known for their friendliness.”
Charlie: (a shiver runs down her spine) “I’m scared, but maybe I should just… go with it.”
