Smile Precure: The Movie (2012, MOVIE SCRIPT)
PLOT: The story starts in the past. As a young Miyuki is seen playing in the playground and finds a picture book with the ending pages torn out. The scene changes to her reading aloud to herself in the library, where she tries to smile and finally she make friends. Afterwards, she promises to the book to continue the story.
In the present day, Miyuki and the other Smile Pretty Cures are at the World Picture Book Exposition having fun and enjoying themselves, unaware that a shadow had been following them. Soon enough, they find the small theater called “The Big Adventure in a Picture Book.” Akane suggests a 3D movie, but Miyuki and Yayoi reject the idea, as the cures head inside. The movie shows a girl being chased by the two demons: Gingaku and Kinkaku from Journey from the West, who find her hiding. Running away, the girl finally shows her face and jumped out from the screen, being caught by Miyuki. However, the demons follow her as well; kidnapping her and causing the Cures to fight them. After retrieving the girl, she introduces herself as Nico, and after being requested by the others, she send herself and the Cures to the Fairy Tale World which looks like Märchenland.
Once they arrive, Nico reveals that the Cures can become any character from a picture book, which they gladly accept. She then sends them off, seaming happy that she could please her guests. However, once no one is around, she says to herself, “You liar.”
As they split into different dimensions, the Pretty Cures have given to their main character roles at each stories, there are: Cinderella (Miyuki), One-Inch Boy (Akane), Sun Wukong (Yayoi), Taro Urashima (Nao) and Momotaro (Reika). After seeing the real main characters of their stories, the five are suddenly confused, wondering why the stories are mixed up: Miyuki meets Momotaro, Reika meets Urashima Taro, Nao meets Sun Wukong, Yayoi meets One-Inch Boy, and Akane meets Cinderella.
Nico snaps her fingers in order to possess the five fairy tale characters, turning them into the Demon King’s minions and the Cures end up being chased (and Reika letting her hair down by force). They eventually meet up and are protected by the villains from the original stories from Cinderella’s punch. The evil-controlled characters then mentioned that there would be no happy or bad endings for any story – no ending at all, shocking the others. Soon, Candy and Miyuki realize that the real Momotaro has been controlled by the shadow, and they transform and try to release the shadow from the real characters. However, Cure Sunny retains her small form, but thanks to the help of One-Inch Boy’s mallet, the giant Cinderella and the small Cure Sunny reverted back to normal. The shadow then comes out of Cinderella, but the other four characters remained to be possessed.
Suddenly, Nico claps to get everyone’s attention and shows her true feelings to Cure Happy, shocking her as she remembers her forgotten past. Nico teleports away by being hugged by unknown shadow, and the villain character in the story throws the Pretty Cure in order to follow her. After landing in a fairy tale town, Cure Happy tells the story about the book involving Nico in it:
“Like her name, Nico is a girl who is always smiling. The animals who didn’t get along with each other… became friends with Nico’s smile. And one day, the Demon King who hated smiles took Nico away. The smiles disappeared from the animals’ faces and they continued to fight with each other. And then, Nico was trapped inside the Demon Castle.”
Peace then asked about what would happen to Nico, but Happy replied that the story’s continuation was interrupted because the pages were torn out and it never ended. Another flashback shows that Happy was thinking about drawing the rest of the torn out pages, but gave up when she thought her drawings were never good enough. Thus, Happy believes that everything was her fault. However, Sunny forces a smile on Happy’s face, telling her that if she didn’t smile, her happiness would run away. With the others’ encouragement, Happy decides she wants to go to the Demon King Castle and apologize to Nico. At the other side, the Demon King does the same thing to Nico in order to show her true feelings.
When the Smile Cures reached the castle’s main entrance, Nico responds negatively on Happy’s apology, and stomps her feet to summon the beaten villains and the evil-controlled characters to fight the Pretty Cures. The girl end up get beaten, and Nico tries to convince the girl that Miyuki is the cause of all their pain, and that they should hate her. The other Cures decline, saying that they love Miyuki and her smile. Finally, Happy was able to get to Nico and reveal her true feelings. After apologizing again and hugging Nico, she finally accepts her apology. But this causes the Demon King’s dismay and he traps Nico into the cage and absorbs the shadow controlling the main characters into him.
While the Cures fight monsters, the villain characters (with Candy on one of their shoulders) try to release Nico from her cage, saying that she should embrace all of her true feeling, causing the torn out pages to shine. The cage then disappears, and once getting back on the ground, the pages are restored, much to the Demon King’s dismay again. The Cures decide to use the Royal Rainbow Burst, but the Demon King fights back, and destroys the attack. With the Cures unconscious, the Demon King also destroys the Fairy Tale World, turning it into a wasteland-like place.
Nico tries to persuade Demon King but to no effect, causing him to throw an attack at her. Once the attack doesn’t hit her, Nico is confused, until she realizes that Princess Happy sacrificed herself in order to protect her. Killed by the Demon King’s strike, Nico wants the audience watching the movie (which is us) to raise their Miracle Wing Lights to give power to Miyuki, giving the island a pink glow and transform Princess Happy into Ultra Cure Happy.
Ultra Cure Happy uses her power to defeat a dark-magic ball created by the Demon King, giving the flower field to all the surrounding grounds. Then she introduces herself as “Full of smiles, the light of love, Ultra Cure Happy!” (笑顔の包む愛の光, ウルトラキュアハッピー Egao no tsutsumu ai no hikari. Urutora Kyua Happī!). The other Cures wake up, join up with Ultra Happy and Nico, and agree that they should try to purify the Demon King. With other Princess Forms’ power wrapping the Demon King with angel wings, Ultra Happy is able to persuade him and purifies the Demon King into his true form with a hug and a smile.
Afterwards Nico shows that she wants the world full of smiles, including the Demon King, and apologizes to messing up the stories while resolving to make the ending of her story herself. Moreover, she says that despite what she claimed earlier, Nico truly loves Miyuki. This makes Miyuki to cry happily and the movie ends with the Nico’s storybook creates a wing Cure Decor.

Hoshizora Miyuki / Cure Happy
Miyuki is a forward-looking, bright and cheerful girl. Scatterbrained and an airhead at times, she has the power to bring light everywhere she goes, and tends to say “Ultra Happy!” when she’s joyful.
Hino Akane / Cure Sunny
Akane is a bright and energetic girl from Osaka. The type to act before she thinks, she is always full of jokes and loves making others laugh. She is a jokester who aims to add punchlines to the end of every sentence.
Kise Yayoi / Cure Peace
Yayoi is an honest and cute little sister type. Although she is a crybaby and is afraid of strangers, she is strong at heart, and is willing to try her best.
Midorikawa Nao / Cure March
Nao is an active girl who is good at sports, and she hates it when others are not being straightforward. Tall and intense, she is popular at school, but she also has a girly side to her.
Aoki Reika / Cure Beauty
Reika is a level-headed, gentle big sister type, and a member of the Student Council. She is part of the Archery team and also enjoys poems, making her a very traditional and “old Japan” kind of girl. She is the most rational of the 5 Smile! Cures.

EXT. PLAYGROUND – DAY (PAST)
A young MIYUKI, with bright eyes and a joyful laugh, runs through a sunny playground, chasing after a bouncing ball. She trips, falling face-first into a pile of colorful leaves. She scrambles up, dusting herself off, and finds a picture book lying next to her.
The cover depicts a smiling girl holding a beautiful flower.
MIYUKI (whispering)
What a pretty book!
She opens it, her eyes widening as she sees the colorful illustrations. But something is missing – the last few pages are torn out.
INT. LIBRARY – DAY (PRESENT)
Miyuki sits at a table in the library, surrounded by stacks of books. She holds the same picture book, now worn and slightly tattered. Her eyes scan the incomplete pages, a look of sadness on her face.
MIYUKI (to herself)
I wish I could finish the story…
She closes her eyes, taking a deep breath. A smile slowly spreads across her face as she remembers her promise to herself.
MIYUKI (whispering)
I have to keep smiling!
She opens the book again, her voice filled with determination as she reads aloud, her smile growing brighter.
EXT. WORLD PICTURE BOOK EXPOSITION – DAY
The Smile Pretty Cure are having a blast at the World Picture Book Exposition, their faces beaming with joy. They’re surrounded by colorful displays and enchanting exhibits, their laughter echoing through the bustling fair.
MIYUKI
This is so much fun! Look, Akane, they have a whole booth dedicated to fairy tales!
AKANE (grinning)
This is awesome! And look at all these yummy treats – let’s try the gingerbread cookies!
YAYOI (nervously)
U-um… I’m a bit scared of all the crowds.
NAO (patting Yayoi’s shoulder)
Don’t worry, Yayoi. I’ll stay by your side.
REIKA (smiling)
We’re all here for each other. Now, let’s go watch that 3D movie!
Akane excitedly grabs Yayoi and Miyuki’s hands, pulling them towards a small theater marked “The Big Adventure in a Picture Book.” Miyuki and Yayoi exchange hesitant glances.
MIYUKI
3D movies… I’m not sure about that.
YAYOI
Maybe we should try something else?
REIKA
Aw, come on! It’ll be fun!
Before Miyuki can protest further, the other Cures drag her inside the theater.
INT. THE BIG ADVENTURE IN A PICTURE BOOK – DAY
The screen flickers to life, displaying a vibrant fairytale world. A young girl, her eyes wide with fear, runs through a forest, pursued by two menacing demons: Gingaku and Kinkaku.
The girl stumbles and falls, tears streaming down her face. She hides behind a large tree, her heart pounding.
The demons’ wicked laughter echoes through the theater.
Gingaku
We’ll find you, little one! You can’t escape us!
Kinkaku
Prepare to face your doom!
The girl peeks out from behind the tree, her face pale with terror. Suddenly, she jumps out of the screen, landing right into Miyuki’s arms.
MIYUKI
What?
The demons burst out of the screen, their eyes fixed on the girl.
Gingaku
She’s right there! Grab her!
Kinkaku
No escape this time!
The Cures react instantly, transforming into the Pretty Cure.
MIYUKI
Pretty Cure, Smile Up!
They engage in a fierce battle with the demons, protecting the girl. After a heated fight, the Cures manage to defeat the demons and retrieve the girl.
The girl, still shaken, takes a deep breath and smiles nervously.
GIRL
Thank you… for saving me.
MIYUKI
You’re welcome! What’s your name?
GIRL
I’m Nico.
Akane, Yayoi, Nao, and Reika gather around Nico, their faces filled with concern.
YAYOI
Are you okay?
REIKA
We’re so glad you’re safe.
Nico’s smile falters.
NICO
It’s just… I was in a story. And now… I’m here.
Miyuki looks at Nico curiously.
MIYUKI
In a story? What do you mean?
NICO
I don’t know how to explain it… it’s like I was trapped inside the book.
REIKA
Perhaps you can go back to your story?
Nico hesitates, then shakes her head.
NICO
I don’t think so. But… if you’d like… I could take you to the world I was in.
The Cures look at each other, intrigued by the offer.
MIYUKI
The world from the story? That sounds amazing!
NICO
Follow me!
Nico snaps her fingers, and a shimmering portal opens before them.
INT. FAIRYTALE WORLD – DAY
The Cures and Nico step into a magical world that looks straight out of a fairytale. Lush forests, sparkling rivers, and charming villages surround them.
NICO
Welcome to Märchenland!
MIYUKI
Wow! It’s like something out of a dream!
NICO (smiling)
You can become any character you want!
Miyuki beams, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
MIYUKI
That’s so cool! I can be Cinderella!
Akane, Yayoi, Nao, and Reika all express their excitement, eager to choose their favorite fairytale characters. Nico sends the Cures off to their different dimensions, seemingly content.
NICO (to herself)
You liar…
INT. CINDERELLA’S CASTLE – DAY
Miyuki finds herself in a beautiful castle, dressed in a shimmering gown. She meets the real Cinderella, a sweet but timid girl, who is surprised to see Miyuki.
CINDERELLA
Who are you?
MIYUKI
I’m Miyuki! I’m… I’m you!
Cinderella looks at her, confused.
CINDERELLA
But… I’m Cinderella.
Miyuki notices something strange. The story is all wrong. Instead of being met with a wicked stepmother and stepsisters, she sees a friendly family and a cheerful princess. The real Cinderella, meanwhile, seems to be hiding something.
INT. ONE-INCH BOY’S HOUSE – DAY
Akane finds herself in a tiny cottage, surrounded by miniature furniture. The real One-Inch Boy, a brave and determined young man, greets her with a confused frown.
ONE-INCH BOY
You’re not… my mother.
AKANE
Your mother? No, I’m… I’m you!
One-Inch Boy, like Cinderella, doesn’t recognize her. The story here, too, is different, and the real One-Inch Boy is troubled by something.
INT. MOMOTARO’S VILLAGE – DAY
Yayoi, Nao, and Reika each encounter the same problem. Yayoi meets a kind, but strangely subdued Momotaro who isn’t the brave hero of the story. Nao meets an insecure Urashima Taro, not the adventurous fisherman. Reika encounters a Sun Wukong who has lost his fighting spirit. The stories are jumbled, and the true characters seem to be hiding their real personalities.
INT. CINDERELLA’S CASTLE – DAY
Miyuki watches as Cinderella prepares to leave the castle. She notices a shadowy figure lurking nearby, whispering something to Cinderella. The real Cinderella hesitates, then turns back to Miyuki, her eyes filled with sadness.
CINDERELLA
I’m sorry… but I have to go.
Miyuki tries to reach out to her, but Cinderella disappears in a flash of light. Miyuki feels a chill run down her spine. Something isn’t right.
INT. ONE-INCH BOY’S HOUSE – DAY
Akane witnesses the same event. One-Inch Boy is suddenly surrounded by a dark shadow, his expression turning cold and uncaring. He leaves the house, ignoring Akane’s worried calls.
INT. MOMOTARO’S VILLAGE – DAY
The other Cures experience similar situations. Each of the real characters is possessed by a shadowy presence, their personalities twisted into something unfamiliar.
EXT. FAIRYTALE WORLD – DAY
The Cures regroup, their faces grim.
MIYUKI
Something’s wrong! The stories are all mixed up!
YAYOI
The real characters… they’re acting so strange.
NAO
I think they’re being controlled by something.
REIKA
But by what?
Suddenly, the possessed characters appear, their faces contorted with malice. They advance towards the Cures, their movements sharp and menacing.
MOMOTARO (possessed)
There will be no happy endings… no endings at all!
Cinderella, One-Inch Boy, Sun Wukong, and Urashima Taro, all controlled by the shadow, attack the Cures.
The Cures fight back, but they’re outnumbered and outmatched. Reika’s hair falls loose, and she throws a desperate punch at the possessed characters, pushing them back for a moment.
The possessed characters laugh cruelly.
CINDERELLA (possessed)
This world will be forever trapped in darkness!
Miyuki, her heart heavy with despair, realizes the truth.
MIYUKI
The shadow… it’s controlling them!
CANDY (flying in a panic)
The shadow is the Demon King’s power! He’s corrupting everything!
Miyuki transforms into Cure Happy, her eyes filled with determination.
MIYUKI
We have to stop him!
The other Cures transform as well, joining forces with Cure Happy.
INT. FAIRYTALE WORLD – DAY
The battle rages on, the Cures fighting valiantly against the possessed fairytale characters.
Cure Happy notices a dark energy radiating from the real Momotaro, and she realizes that the shadow is controlling him from within.
CURE HAPPY
I have to free him!
She uses her power to shrink down to the size of One-Inch Boy, and she bravely confronts the possessed Momotaro.
CURE HAPPY
Momotaro, you have to fight the shadow! You’re a brave hero!
The possessed Momotaro laughs cruelly, striking at Cure Happy with his sword. But just as he’s about to land a blow, One-Inch Boy swings his mallet, hitting Momotaro’s arm and knocking the sword away.
CURE HAPPY
Thank you!
One-Inch Boy, despite being possessed, still seems to hold a glimmer of his original personality. He swings his mallet again, striking the shadow controlling Momotaro.
CURE HAPPY
Keep going! We can do this!
Cure Sunny, realizing they’re outnumbered, shouts to the others.
CURE SUNNY
Hey, this isn’t going to work! We need to do something!
Akane takes a deep breath, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
CURE SUNNY
I got it!
Using her power, Cure Sunny enlarges the possessed Cinderella. The giant Cinderella, confused and struggling to control her own body, towers over the other Cures.
CURE SUNNY
This is our chance! Let’s use her!
Cure Happy, her small form dwarfed by the giant Cinderella, leaps into action. She uses her own power to shrink Cinderella down to her original size, releasing the shadow from her body.
The shadow, now free, floats in the air, glowing with malevolent energy.
CURE HAPPY
We did it! The shadow’s gone!
But their victory is short-lived. A shadowy figure suddenly appears, cloaked in darkness.
NICO (with a twisted smile)
So… you finally managed to break free.
Nico steps forward, her eyes gleaming with an unsettling intensity.
CURE HAPPY
Nico? What are you doing?
NICO (her voice cold)
You think you’ve won? You’re wrong. The Demon King has a plan… and it will be devastating.
Nico claps her hands together, and a wave of dark energy surges through the air, engulfing the Cures.
CURE HAPPY
Nico, stop this!
Nico’s smile widens, revealing a sinister glint in her eyes.
NICO
You’re the cause of all our pain… You’re the reason we’re all suffering!
CURE HAPPY
What are you talking about?
Nico laughs, her voice echoing with malice.
NICO
You’ve forgotten… but I haven’t!
She lunges at Cure Happy, but before she can strike, a powerful force throws Nico back, sending her tumbling to the ground.
CURE HAPPY
Who’s there?
Nico struggles to her feet, her face contorted with fury.
NICO
You’re going to pay for this!
The Cures stand protectively around Cure Happy, their eyes fixed on Nico.
CURE PEACE
Nico, please! What’s going on?
CURE MARCH
You’re scaring us!
Nico’s eyes widen, her anger slowly fading.
NICO
I… I don’t know… I’m just… so confused.
CURE BEAUTY
What’s wrong, Nico?
Nico looks at them, her expression filled with pain.
NICO
I… I don’t want to be like this. But… I can’t help it. I’m trapped.
CURE HAPPY
Trapped?
NICO
The Demon King… he’s using me… He’s making me do terrible things. I’m sorry!
CURE HAPPY
But… why are you doing this?
Nico takes a deep breath, her eyes welling up with tears. She closes her eyes, then whispers a painful truth.
NICO
I hate you… Miyuki. I hate you for everything you’ve done. You’re the reason I’m trapped… you’re the reason I’m so miserable…
Cure Happy, shocked by Nico’s words, stumbles back.
CURE HAPPY
Nico… why?
NICO (her voice trembling)
I… I thought you were my friend… I thought we were close… but then… you left me. You forgot about me. You took everything away from me!
CURE HAPPY
No… that’s not true! I… I never meant to hurt you. I… I don’t remember. But… I promise, I would never do anything to hurt you.
Nico looks at her, her eyes filled with disbelief.
NICO
You lied… You always lie. I thought you were different… but you’re just like everyone else. They all leave me. They all abandon me.
CURE HAPPY
No! Please, Nico! I want to understand. Tell me what happened. What did I do?
Nico turns away, her face buried in her hands.
NICO
I… I can’t…
Suddenly, a shadowy figure emerges from the darkness, casting a chilling shadow over Nico.
NICO (whispering)
No… not now…
The shadowy figure wraps its arms around Nico, pulling her away from the Cures.
CURE HAPPY
Nico!
The Cures try to follow her, but the shadowy figure is too fast. Nico disappears into the darkness, leaving the Cures stunned and confused.
INT. DEMON KING’S CASTLE – DAY
The Demon King sits upon his throne, a twisted grin upon his face. Nico sits before him, her eyes filled with hatred.
DEMON KING
So… you’ve finally realized your true feelings.
NICO
I hate her… I hate Miyuki… She ruined everything!
DEMON KING
Ah, yes… such hatred… It’s so powerful. It’s exactly what I need.
He reaches out and touches Nico’s hand.
DEMON KING
You can be so much more than just a smile… you can be so much more powerful.
He uses his dark magic to manipulate Nico’s feelings, twisting her hatred into something even more destructive.
INT. FAIRYTALE TOWN – DAY
The Cures stumble through the fairytale town, their faces grim.
CURE HAPPY
What happened to Nico?
CURE PEACE
Why did she say those things?
CURE MARCH
We have to find her!
CURE BEAUTY
And we have to stop the Demon King!
CURE HAPPY
I don’t understand… Nico hates me… But… why?
She remembers a faded memory: a young Miyuki sitting in her room, drawing pictures in a notebook. She sees a picture of a smiling girl, holding a flower. The girl looks like Nico. She tries to draw the rest of the story, but she gives up, frustrated.
CURE HAPPY (whispering)
I… I remember now… Nico was in a story… and I… I couldn’t finish it.
CURE SUNNY
What do you mean?
CURE HAPPY
I… I was supposed to draw the rest of Nico’s story, but… I couldn’t. I thought my drawings were too bad. I gave up.
CURE PEACE
So… you left her story unfinished?
CURE HAPPY
Yeah… and now… she’s angry. She thinks it’s my fault.
CURE MARCH
But… how can you be responsible for what happened to her?
CURE HAPPY
I don’t know… but… I have to apologize. I have to make things right. I have to help her.
CURE BEAUTY
We’ll help you, Happy.
The Cures gather together, their faces determined.
CURE HAPPY
We’re going to find Nico, and we’re going to stop the Demon King!
INT. DEMON KING’S CASTLE – DAY
The Demon King, his power growing stronger, cackles with delight. He looks at Nico, who is now consumed by dark energy.
DEMON KING
You’re perfect now. You’ll be the perfect weapon.
He snaps his fingers, and a portal opens in the castle, leading to the fairytale world.
DEMON KING
Go! Show those fools what happens when you unleash your true feelings!
Nico, her eyes burning with hatred, steps through the portal and enters the fairytale world.
EXT. FAIRYTALE WORLD – DAY
The Cures reach the entrance to the Demon King’s castle, their hearts pounding with fear.
CURE HAPPY
Nico! We’re here!
CURE SUNNY
We know you’re inside!
CURE PEACE
We want to help you!
The castle doors open, and Nico appears, her face twisted with anger.
NICO
You’re here… I knew you would come.
The possessed fairytale characters gather around Nico, their faces filled with malice.
NICO
You’re all going to pay for what you’ve done!
She unleashes a wave of dark energy, sending the Cures flying through the air.
CURE HAPPY
Nico, please! Stop this!
NICO
No! This is what you deserve! You’re all going to suffer! Just like I’m suffering!
CURE HAPPY
No! I’m not going to let you hurt yourself. I’m not going to let you destroy everything!
She rushes towards Nico, determined to stop her.
CURE SUNNY
Happy!
CURE PEACE
Be careful!
CURE MARCH
She’s too strong!
CURE BEAUTY
We need to help her!
The other Cures try to reach Nico, but Nico pushes them back, her eyes filled with rage.
NICO
You’re all just like them… You don’t care about me!
CURE HAPPY
That’s not true! I care about you, Nico! I really do! I’m sorry for everything.
She reaches out and touches Nico’s shoulder. Nico freezes, her anger momentarily forgotten.
CURE HAPPY
I’m so sorry… I didn’t mean to hurt you. I… I wish I could take back everything I did wrong.
Nico’s eyes soften, her anger fading.
NICO
Miyuki…
CURE HAPPY
Please… forgive me.
She embraces Nico tightly, her arms wrapped around her. Nico’s body trembles, her tears flowing freely. She pulls away from Cure Happy, her face a mixture of anger and sadness.
NICO
I… I hate you…
But as she speaks, a tear rolls down her cheek, and a soft smile forms on her lips.
NICO
I hate you… because I love you.
The Demon King, watching from his throne, roars in fury.
DEMON KING
No! She can’t forgive her!
He tries to control Nico with his dark magic, but his power weakens. Nico’s tears fall onto the ground, and a shimmering light erupts, surrounding the castle.
CURE HAPPY
Nico…
Nico looks at Cure Happy, her eyes filled with gratitude.
NICO
Thank you… for understanding…
She turns to the Demon King, her voice filled with determination.
NICO
I’m done being your puppet. I’m going to take back my life!

The possessed fairytale characters, still under the Demon King’s control, stand back, their faces grim. They watch as the Cures fight against the Demon King’s power.
Suddenly, Candy, who has been hiding on one of the possessed characters’ shoulders, flies forward, her wings glowing with magic.
CANDY
Nico! Don’t give up! You need to embrace all your feelings, both good and bad!
She touches the cage, and the pages of Nico’s storybook, which have been torn out and scattered throughout the fairytale world, begin to shine with a magical light. The cage begins to dissolve, and Nico falls to the ground, her tears mingling with the magical light.
The scattered pages of the storybook come together, reforming into a complete book.
DEMON KING
No! That’s impossible! She can’t…
The Demon King looks at the complete storybook, his eyes wide with fear.
NICO
I… I’m free.
She smiles, her face radiant with joy.
NICO
Thank you… everyone.
CURE HAPPY
Nico!
She rushes towards Nico, her face filled with relief.
CURE HAPPY
You’re okay!
The other Cures gather around Nico, their hearts overflowing with joy.

It’s amazing! You’re finally free!

Now we can finally stop the Demon King!

He turns towards Nico, his eyes filled with malice.
DEMON KING
And you, little girl, will be my prisoner forever!
He throws a blast of dark energy at Nico, who is too weak to defend herself.
But before the attack can hit her, Cure Happy, her eyes filled with love and determination, steps forward.
CURE HAPPY
Nico!
She throws herself in front of Nico, taking the full force of the attack. The world shakes violently. The Cures scream in horror as they watch Cure Happy fall to the ground, her body covered in wounds.
Nico, her eyes filled with tears, stares in disbelief.
NICO
Miyuki…
CURE HAPPY (whispering)
I… I’m sorry…
Nico’s heart breaks. She looks at the audience watching the movie, her eyes filled with pleading.
NICO
Please… help me… Please… give me the power…
She holds up her Miracle Wing Light, and a pink glow fills the screen. The Cures, inspired by Nico’s plea, raise their Miracle Wing Lights, their hearts filled with love and hope.
The magical energy flows from their lights, filling the world with a blinding light.
CURE HAPPY
Nico… I…
The light fades, and Cure Happy, her body glowing with a radiant light, stands tall. She is no longer the small, cheerful Cure Happy. She is transformed into a powerful, majestic warrior, her eyes burning with a golden fire.
CURE HAPPY
I’m… Ultra Cure Happy!
Nico gasps, her eyes wide with wonder.
NICO
Miyuki… you…
Ultra Cure Happy turns to the Demon King, her voice filled with righteous fury.
ULTRA CURE HAPPY
It’s over, Demon King! You’ve made your last mistake!
She raises her hand, and a dazzling beam of light shoots forth, striking the Demon King with incredible force. He screams in pain, his power weakening.
ULTRA CURE HAPPY
You may have corrupted the stories, but you can’t corrupt the power of love and friendship!
The other Cures, their bodies restored, rise to their feet, their faces filled with awe and inspiration.

She hugs the Demon King, her love and kindness filling him with warmth. The Demon King begins to shrink, his dark energy fading. He becomes smaller and smaller, until he’s nothing but a tiny, black creature, whimpering with fear.

The Demon King is gone… He’s finally purified.
Nico smiles, her heart full of joy.

The Demon King… He’s just a little shadow now. He can never hurt anyone again.

It’s over… The fairytale world is safe.
