Write as a list
Q&A (Questions and Answers), (always put it at the bottom of the text): write as a list
– Write a list of each character’s thoughts on the siblings (Emily, Alex, Leo, and Owen), this is the parents’ thoughts on their children and the siblings’ thoughts on each other, first put a description, and then after the description put their first-person thoughts, put the positives and the negatives for the siblings’ thoughts, and put the goods and the difficulties (the difficulties and frustrations) for the parents. Owen can really express his thoughts clearly.
– Who is the most annoying character?
– How does each character (including the parents) act when they get mad.
– Which character is it funny to see get mad?
– Which character is the scariest to see get mad?
– Is Alex too mean to Leo? If so, how and why? What can she do better? Will this effect Leo when he is older?
– Does Alex get annoyed when Leo is excited?
– Is Emily nice to Leo?
– Does Owen seem to like Leo, or does he seem to be scared of him?
– If Alex snaps at Leo (which he only does if he is whiny, and not listening to his parents when they say no), will this affect him when he’s older? If so, how?
– Is Leo scared of Alex?
– How does Leo feel when he tries to play, talk to, or show something to someone, but they are busy, how does it make him feel?
– Does Alex need to give Leo discipline?
– Is Leo being annoying? If so, how and why?
– Does Leo need discipline?
– What about Leo’s attitude, and behavior?
– Are Alice and David being nice to Leo, are they treating him well?’
– What would people think of Leo in public, especially Alex and Emily’s friends? (Varying opinions)
– Is Leo acting appropriately for his age?
– Who is in the wrong?
– Does Leo deserved to be yelled at when he’s being whiny, and disrespectful? Does he deserve discipline, or does he not deserve it?
– List all the times where Leo has been annoying.
– What would happen if Alex pushed Leo if he was messing with her? she would never do this if he was annoying, unless he unintentionally laid his hands on her, when trying to “annoy” her. But can she still apologize to Leo?
– Is Leo’s methods of wanting attention bad?
– Is Leo a little rough with Owen? If so, list all the times he’s rough with Owen. (Note: He never makes Owen scream, and he never messes with Owen’s hair, in fact, I don’t think Leo touches Owen’s hair, Leo would only be rough when carrying him, or playing with him (like accidentally scaring him with his toys), he never pranks him, and he is never too rough aggressive towards him), if so, Leo does not intend to be rough, he just wants to play with his brother, and be good big brother towards him.
– What are all the times Leo has been annoying in public (even if he isn’t meaning to be) (there are probably as lot of these)
– Is Leo being ignored?
– Is Leo a good or a bad brother?
– What do the other kids think of Leo? (kids around Leo’s age)
– Does Leo need to be punished?
– What would happen if Leo was punished, how would he punished, how would he feel? Please note that this never happens to Leo, this question only asks IF this were to happen to him.
– What are sometimes Alex has been mean to Leo?
– What are sometimes Alex has been caring towards Leo?
– What are some things Emily, Alex, Leo, and Owen like?
– How does Leo act at school? Does he get in trouble at school?
– What type of mind does Leo have (imagination as well, like is it a big imagination)?
– What are each character’s relationships with each other (this includes the parents).
Write a scene about the 4 siblings and their parent’s relationships. Sometimes Alex gets annoyed when her mother tells her to do something, and in her mind, Alice gets so frustrated with Alex’s behavior. I want to see each parents’ relationship with each child. The story starts with them all in the living room during the middle of the day (possibly on a Saturday), there is a scene when Leo plays with Owen but after a short while, Leo accidentally drops Owen (Remember that Owen is still Leo). Later before Dinner, There is a scene where Leo tries to annoy his sisters (there are multiple scenes of this, one scene where he annoys Alex, one scene where he annoys Emily, and one scene where he annoys both Alex and Emily), and there is another scene where he tries to “annoy” his parents (even he’s not purposely trying to be annoying, nor does he think he’s annoying), there are two scenes of this (first scene where he talks to his mom, and the other with his dad), Alice is a little busy when Leo tries to talk to her, but Leo doesn’t see that, David is also busy in his office, but David shows a little bit more interest, because he doesn’t want to hurt his son’s feelings by saying he’s busy, because he doesn’t want Leo to think his parents ignore him. There is another scene after dinner, where Alice tells Alex to wash the dishes, but Alex is snarky about this, during their talk, Leo butts in, and asks to do something that he wants to do (example: go play outside but he is not allowed to at night, maybe he wants to grab a cookie as well when Alice says he can’t play outside, or something else, you decide), but Alice tells him no, Leo keeps begging, Alice tells him no and to go play with his toys (play video games, and/or watch TV), or something idk, Alex tells Leo to go away, and to stop being disrespectful, because Mom said no, Leo and Alex then have a fight (a little long), Alex says something mean and hurtful (it’s not anything related to the word “annoying”, it’s something more hurtful to Leo, she says she wishes something) to Leo and he gets upset, and cries, he then tells Alice that Alex is being mean, Alex says something else to Leo, Alex also calls Leo a monster, Leo responds to that, and then says something mean to Alex, which Alice will have to get onto Leo, after Alex makes a final comment to Leo, he runs off to his room. After Leo runs off, Alice and Alex have a conversation about Leo, with Alice telling Alex to be a lot nicer to Leo, and that Leo is only a kid (put this in your words), but Alex tells her all the facts (make her say all of them, every single one) about why Leo is such a pain, this scene is kind of long (about 1,000 words), Alex gets frustrated especially when Alice keeps saying that Leo is “just a kid”, and Alex gets so mad repeatedly saying ‘”He’s just a kid?!”‘ , she says Alice always says this, and Alex then mentions every time he’s annoyed her (list every event that has happened that made her annoyed) and brings up moments where he was embarrassing (list every moment that Alex mentions). Alex tells Alice that Leo needs to mature. Alex says he’s being annoying to her, to Emily, and even mentions that he’s rough with Owen (Alex mentions all the times Leo’s been playing with Owen, list all the times Leo has been playing with Owen, Leo never touches Owen’s hair), and she also lists all of the times Leo’s been annoying to her, and towards Emily (list all of them), Alex even tells Alice that Leo is mean them (Alice and David) as well. Alice’s patience loses thin during this convo, so she’ll raise her voice, Alice will even bring up more stuff about her childhood. After Alex leaves the kitchen in a bad mood, Alice is like “I can’t with her” and “What am I gonna do with that girl”, she says this because of her daughter’s attitude after their fight, the scene is very long. There is another scene the next day, where Alice and Alex talk about last night, Alice is doing something and Alex says hey to her, and Alice tells her she was thinking about last night, which Alex acting kinda the same as last night, she’s still mad at Leo. David and Alice also talk about Alex and Leo’s relationship when they’re in the bed. Later, the next day, Alice talks to Alex again about Leo (this scene is also very long), except this time David is with her, and talks to Alex as well. Afterwards, we see Leo a bit more in the scenes in the living room and in his room, where maybe he’ll try to talk to his family, and ask something. Alex, and Emily are in their rooms at night, and Alex texts Emily about Leo, Emily asks if Alex wants to go to her room, they then talk in Emily’s room. Alex might have a dream about what could happen if she continues to be mean to Leo (followed by dialogue), the scene is like any other scene where they are at home, we see Leo’s attitude towards his family (his parents, Emily, Alex, and even Owen) In the dream, Leo is around Alex’s age, they are all doing their normal things, Alex is on her phone, Alice is in the kitchen, (List what Owen is doing), we see Leo speak to his mom, and Owen, Alex tries to talk to Leo. Alex wakes up glad to know it was a dream. Towards the end of the story where Alex apologizes to Leo for the way she acted, maybe Leo walks towards or near her, feeling sad, even though Alex might still be the sarcastic, snarky sister towards Leo, and Leo will still be the annoying little brother, who likes to bother Alex and Emily, Alex will still apologize if she’s ever too mean or too harsh to him. The story will end with all of them in bed. Dialogue only, but also show their expressions. 20,000 words. Each scene is long. There isn’t an narration, it’s only dialogue.
Notes:
– Alex never gets mad when playing with Owen, sometimes she might want to do what she wants to do, but she loves playing with Owen, and she tries to be a good sister towards him. Alex is never annoyed when Owen wants to play with her, Alex also doesn’t show any annoyance towards him either, especially since Owen is young.
– Leo is said to be a growing boy (I’m mainly talking about physical growth, like he is getting taller, but also as a person), as he is still growing up.
– Owen is 1 year old, so he does walk, he mostly either walks, crawls, or is being carried by someone.
– Owen only calls Alice “Mama”, since she is his mother.
– Owen doesn’t speak verbally much since he is a baby, he usually says goo-goo gaga, but sometimes he can see his siblings, and try to say their name, sometimes he will have trouble saying their name (write dialogue for this), and the sibling he is talking to will say their name and he will try and say it (example: A-lex), there is a scene of this.
– Whenever he’s crying the dialogue will either say “Waaaaaaaah!”, or it will just say that he’s crying.
– Whenever each character talks, most of the times it says their emotions, example: Alex (annoyed), Leo (pouting), Owen (crying), and Owen (sniffling), there will be dialogue when he does this.
– Owen tries to play with Alex in the living room, and Alex thinks its cute.
– Leo only pouts when he is upset or mad.
– Alex only gets mad at Leo when he whines, and cries when he doesn’t get what he wants, he doesn’t always do this, sometimes he’ll just accept it, but sometimes he’ll get whiny.
– Normally when Leo is annoying, Alex is just annoyed and just tells her to leave him alone, she’s not really that mean to him, and she barely snaps at him, she’s normally just sarcastic and snarky towards him.
– Alex and Emily get along pretty well, they’re kind of like best friends.
– Alex and Emily don’t argue over phones, because they both have phones.
– Alex and Emily are teenagers, so they are a little more mature. And they don’t argue.
– Leo calls his parents, Mom and Dad.
– Alex and Emily only have two brothers, Leo and Owen.
Siblings Relationship: seen throughout the story.
Emily:
– Alex: Alex and Emily get along pretty well, they are sarcastic to each other, but they get along, Emily thinks Alex and Leo’s arguments are annoying. If Owen cries while being held by Emily, she’ll try and calm him down but will get annoyed by his crying.
– Leo: Emily thinks Leo is a little annoying, but she is a lot nicer to him, than Alex is to Leo. Emily is kind of like the nice sister, she teases him, but in playful way I suppose, but she is the one who tells he’s annoying. Emily tells Alex, she’ll make sure Leo doesn’t annoy her too much.
– Owen: Emily gets along with her youngest brother.
Alex:
– Emily: Alex and Emily get along pretty well, they are sarcastic to each other, but they get along, they both think Leo is annoying, but Emily is a little nicer to Leo.
– Leo: Alex thinks Leo is annoying, Leo and Alex get into sibling arguments a lot, if something stinks, and Alex mentions it, he’ll say that Alex smells like that. Even though, she thinks Leo is annoying and they get into arguments, she still loves him and would do anything to protect him. If Leo is ever being bullied at school, Alex will try and comfort him, if Leo is sick, she’ll feel bad and tell him she’s sorry he’s sick. She doesn’t try to dismiss his feelings, she just gets annoyed at him, when he bothers her while she’s trying to do something, sometimes, she’ll get annoyed when he’s a little bit embarrassing, but she doesn’t burst into a rage, she only does this when he is being whiny, especially towards his parents. When Leo is disrupting her, she is onl;y sarcastic, and annoyed by him, but however, if he’s being whiny, disrespectful, and spoiled, she’ll snap at him. Alex does not snap at Leo when he tries to play with her, she snaps at him when he is rude, whiny, and disrespectful.
– Owen: Alex thinks Owen is a cute baby, she is a caring sister towards him, she carries him sometimes, she sometimes gets annoyed when he cries a lot, but she tries her best to calm him down, Overall, Alex doesn’t treat him the same as she does Leo. Leo gets upset when Alex gets to hold Owen, and he doesn’t. Alex thinks Leo is annoying, but she doesn’t think Owen is annoying. Alex is never mean to Owen.
Leo:
– Emily: Leo and Emily get along pretty well, Emily thinks Leo is a little annoying, but Emily is a little nicer to Leo.
– Alex: Leo annoys Alex a lot, Leo and Alex get into sibling arguments a lot, he thinks she is a big meanie, sometimes he annoys her just for the fun of it.
– Owen: Leo likes his younger brother, sometimes he will give him some of food, he tries to be a good older brother towards Owen. If Owen cries while he is carrying him, Leo will try to calm him down, but Leo doesn’t know what to do, so he’ll go to his mom. But Leo is sometimes rough with Owen, not all the time, but he is rough with him sometimes. Sometimes Leo will sneak up behind Owen say Boo, which will cause Owen to cry, and get scared of Leo. Leo thinks it sooooo annoying when Owen cries, he also doesn’t like when Owen tries to play with his “special” car. Overall, he still loves his little brother, and he wants to be the best big brother.
Owen:
– Emily: Owen is still young, but he likes his oldest sister, he’ll sometimes play with her hair, if she holds him.
– Alex: Owen is still young, but he likes his older sister, he’ll sometimes try and play with her hair.
– Leo: Owen is still young, but he likes his older brother.

The Annoying Little Brother
Living Room, Saturday Afternoon
Sunlight spills into the living room, painting the plush carpet in warm hues. Owen, a chubby-cheeked one-year-old, toddles across the room, his chubby legs wobbling with each step. He reaches out, giggling, towards Alex who is sprawled on the couch, engrossed in her phone.
Alex (smiling): Hey, there, little man! You want to play?
Owen, oblivious to her playful tone, reaches for her phone, his little fingers trying to grasp the smooth screen.
Alex (laughing): No, no, not the phone! We’ll play with something else.
Alex gently extracts her phone from Owen’s grip and sets it on the coffee table, grabbing a stuffed animal instead. She sits on the floor, holding Owen on her lap as she shows him the toy.
Leo (entering the living room): Can I play too?
Leo, a skinny ten-year-old with a mop of black hair, bursts into the room, his eyes lighting up at the sight of his siblings.
Alex (sarcastically): Oh, please, Leo. It’s a little too babyish for you.
Leo (pouting): But it’s fun!
Alex (rolling her eyes): Sure, it’s fun.
Leo, ignoring her sarcasm, plunks himself down on the floor next to Alex, grabbing a different stuffed animal. He watches Owen, trying to get his attention, and eventually grabs the toy from Alex. Owen, however, is more interested in pulling Alex’s hair.
Alex (gently pulling away Owen’s hand): Owen! Be gentle, please.
Leo (excitedly): Look, Owen! Look at this!
Leo tries to show Owen a toy truck. Owen, in his own world, reaches for Alex’s hair again, causing Alex to sigh.
Leo (holding the toy truck): Do you like this, Owen?
Owen, bored with the toy, reaches for Leo’s leg instead. Leo, giggling, tries to show Owen the truck again.
Alex (to herself): Oh, for goodness sake.
Leo (excitedly): Look, Owen! It goes vroom!
He tries to show Owen how the truck works, accidentally dropping it. Owen, caught off guard, falls forward and cries.
Leo (panicking): Owen! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to!
Alex (picking Owen up): It’s okay, Leo. You didn’t hurt him.
Owen (waaaaaaaah!): Waaaaaaaah!
Leo (to Owen): Don’t cry, Owen! I’m sorry!
Leo tries to hug Owen, but Owen pushes him away, burying his face in Alex’s shoulder.
Alex (comforting Owen): It’s alright, little man. It’s okay.
Leo (pouting): I’m just trying to play.
Alex tries to soothe Owen while Leo watches, a frown etched on his face.
Later, Before Dinner
Living Room
Emily, dressed in a white shirt with light gray stripes and blue jean shorts, sits at the coffee table, sketching in her notebook. Leo, bouncing on his heels, watches her intently.
Leo (teasingly): What are you drawing?
Emily (glancing at him): Nothing. Why?
Leo (persistent): Let me see!
Emily (sighing): Not now, Leo.
Leo (whining): But I want to see!
Emily (rolling her eyes): I’m busy.
Leo (ignoring her): What are you drawing? Is it a unicorn?
Emily (exasperated): No, Leo! It’s a… It’s a… a flower!
Leo (disappointed): A flower? That’s boring.
Emily (closing her notebook): Leo, please. Can you just go play with Owen?
Leo (pouting): But I want to play with you!
Emily (firmly): Leo, go play with Owen.
Leo, with a sulky frown, walks away, heading towards the playroom.
Kitchen
Alice, bustling around the kitchen, preparing dinner, hears Leo’s voice.
Leo (excitedly): Mom, can I have a cookie?
Alice (busy stirring a pot): Not right now, sweetie. We’re having dinner soon.
Leo (pouting): But I want a cookie!
Alice (glancing at him): Leo, I said not now.
Leo (ignoring her): But I want one! Please, please, please!
Alice, trying to focus on her cooking, ignores his pleas.
Leo (persuading): Just one? Please? I’ll be a good boy.
Alice (exasperated): Leo, go play with Owen.
Leo (sighing): Fine.
Leo walks out of the kitchen, his pout deepening.
