Ronald: (Nodding) I’m in. I’ve been practicing my skills.
Yessica: (Smiling softly) I’ll think about it.
(Jacy and Shamya approach the group)

Jacy: (Excitedly) Hey guys! I’m drawing a portrait of a unicorn for the art competition, and I need inspiration!
Shamya: (Shyly) I think it’s a great idea, Jacy! I’m sure it’ll be amazing!
Jamir: (Turning to Jacy) Unicorns are cool! But, like, have you considered a dragon? They’re way cooler.
(Everyone laughs)

Ronald: (Observing Jacy) I like the way you think. Maybe I could draw a dragon too.
Jacy: (Beaming) That’s awesome! Maybe we could do a collab?
(Jamir and Ronald glance at each other, feeling a bit sidelined)

Cree: (Putting her arm around Shamya) I think we should all do a collab! We can be a team of artists, gamers, and… unicorn lovers.
(Everyone laughs again. A playful atmosphere fills the courtyard)

Later that night, at the arcade:

(Cree and Jamir are playing air hockey, laughing hysterically. Yessica and Ronald are trying to beat each other at a racing game. Jacy and Shamya are watching with fascination. )

Jamir: (Smiling at Cree) You’re a beast at air hockey! Maybe you’ll be the one to win the prize!
Cree: (Winking) We’ll see about that! But I bet you’ll lose to me, anyway.
Yessica: (Turning to Ronald) This is actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be.
Ronald: (Smiling) Me too. I like playing with you.
(He winks at her, making her blush)

(Jacy leans over to Shamya, whispering)
Jacy: (Whispering) See, I told you Ronald was the cutest.
Shamya: (Smiling) You’re probably right.
(They both look at Ronald and Yessica, giggling)

**(The night ends with Jamir and Cree crowned the arcade champions, but everyone feels like a winner. As they head out, Jacy leans on Shamya, grinning)

Jacy: (To Shamya) I think I might have a crush on that dragon-loving boy.
Shamya: (Laughing) And I think I have a crush on the shy boy who always seems to know what I’m thinking.
**(They both look at each other, and their eyes meet. A spark passes between them)

(Later, as the group walks home, Cree whispers to Jamir)

Cree: (Smiling) I think Jacy and Shamya might be the cutest couple.
Jamir: (Grinning) Well, I think you and I might be the cutest.
Cree: (Laughing) We’ll just have to see, won’t we?

(As they walk away, their laughter echoes in the night. Everyone has their own opinions on who the cutest boy, the cutest girl, and the cutest couple is. But in the end, it doesn’t really matter. What matters is that they are all friends, and that they all found a little bit of happiness that night.)
