Ms. Reyes
(With a sigh)
Rico, Jess, could you please pay attention? This is important!

Mark
I did! It’s just that…

Jess
(Interrupting)
Guys, just calm down. We need to work together on this.

Rico throws his hands up in frustration.

Rico
See, this is what I’m talking about! Nobody takes this seriously!

Jess
(Putting a hand on Rico’s shoulder)
Come on, man. It’s okay. We’ll figure it out.

It’s just… sometimes it feels like I’m fighting a losing battle.

She takes a deep breath, trying to gather her composure. Just then, a group of students enter the classroom.

Student 1

(Whispering to herself)
They’re going to be alright.

Later, after the ceremony, Ms. Reyes and her students are gathered for a group photo. She looks at each of their faces, noticing the nervous excitement and the pride in their eyes.

Ms. Reyes

Yeah, we learned a lot, even if it wasn’t always easy.

They stop and look back at the majestic old buildings of UST, their faces etched with a mixture of sadness and hope.

Jess
(Putting his arm around Rico and Mark)
It’s been a crazy ride, but we made it. And we’ll never forget this place, or each other.

Rico and Mark
(Grinning)
Yeah, never.

They continue walking, their voices fading into the distance, leaving behind a trail of golden tears and golden love.
