The sterile white of the operating room swam before Izuku’s blurry vision. He’d expected All Might’s power, the One For All quirk. Instead, he woke to a cacophony of voices, a symphony of impossible energy thrumming beneath his skin. He wasn’t given One For All. He was given something… far greater, and far more dangerous. He’d been implanted with Herrscher Cores – the remnants of god-like beings, each a tempest of raw, untamed power.
The first voice, a chilling whisper that slithered through his mind, belonged to the Herrscher of the Void. “Annihilation… inevitable…” it hissed, a cold dread wrapping around Izuku’s heart. Then came the Herrscher of Thunder, a booming laugh that rattled his teeth, promising power beyond measure. “Let loose the storm, child! Let it consume!”
Next, the Herrscher of Reason, a calm, calculating presence, attempted to weave order into the chaos. “Control is paramount. Harness their energy, or you will be destroyed.” But even Reason’s voice was tinged with an unsettling detachment, a cold logic that bordered on heartless.
Izuku’s body, once frail, was now a vessel of terrifying potential. His muscles rippled with unimaginable strength; his very aura crackled with raw energy. Controlling it was a herculean task. One moment, he’d be nearly overwhelmed by Void’s nihilistic urge to destroy, the next, Thunder would surge through him, threatening to tear his body apart. Reason struggled to mediate, but even its influence was thin, constantly battling against the other, more primal cores.
His first adventure wasn’t a hero’s training montage. It was a desperate fight for survival. He accidentally unleashed a small fragment of Thunder’s power during his first attempt at a simple jump, nearly leveling a city block. The sheer energy signature attracted the attention of the Honkai, monstrous beings born from the very energy of the Herrscher cores.
His training consisted of battling the Honkai – learning to channel the individual cores to counter their attacks. Void’s power, terrifying as it was, proved invaluable in negating Honkai energy fields, whilst Thunder’s destructive force decimated their ranks. Reason’s influence, though less spectacular, became his strategic mind, predicting enemy movements and forming battle plans in the blink of an eye.
His journey led him through treacherous landscapes, haunted ruins humming with residual Honkai energy, and secret underground facilities where shadowy organizations sought to harness the power of the Herrschers for their own nefarious purposes. He allied with unlikely companions – a rogue scientist who understood the cores better than he did, a hardened mercenary with a haunted past, and a surprisingly compassionate Honkai who had been rejected by her own kind.
Each battle was a test of his will, a struggle against the warring personalities within him. The constant mental onslaught threatened to shatter his sanity, but Izuku fought back, clinging to the memory of All Might’s unwavering heroism, the image of a hero who inspired him, even if he didn’t receive his powers. He adapted, he learned, and he grew stronger. He was no longer just Izuku Midoriya. He was the vessel of Herrschers, a storm of power contained within a young man’s body, and his adventure had only just begun. His journey was one of self-discovery, a battle not only against the Honkai, but also against himself, to become a hero worthy of the colossal power he now wielded.
