I ask for stellar because I wanted to have a perso
I ask for stellar because I wanted to have a personal chat and it’s not in the office but in my bedchamber.
Here I sit on my plush bed wearing loose tshirt and payjama stellar standing in front of me .
So , I ask stellar you know recently I have heard that in empire there is a person who is best source of information for everykind but no one has seen his face. You know I want to build a information guild in the empire that will handle all empire information and I don’t need to tell you why right?
Information is very powerful you understand well right.
To my words he nodded. I just don’t understand his behaviour he talk very less. It not about talking I know some people are reserved but to him it’s not about reserved he simply refrain to speak.
He have no outstanding background simply a student fortunate enough to get inside erstwhile but instead of getting on my good side to achieve honour he shows no interest, instead even if he is calculating getting on my good side sharing ideas and suggestions will only brighten his value.
But instead all he do is intently observe my words and moves, ordinary people can’t notice but he tries his all to read me. Nothing like a employee and I also noticed something suspicious about his behaviour when I was talking to Ethan in corridor about vassals nature.
Well stellar , so do you know something about the gux who goes by name hoax and have all type of information, he would be a good assessed to our guild don’t you think so.
Look at his audacity blanky directly staring in my eyes without giving an answer. I stood up of my bad and I caress his cheeks gently thud I slapped him hard his face turn to one direction shock on his face red his face .
cloe who is standing in the corner is getting anxious.
I speak very impudent of you it seems I try to treat you with respect but it doesn’t mean you walk all over me I am princess of creekwell, emperor suster in law, grand Duchess, commander of jade knightage and a grand mage. Yet you dare to disrespect me why not giving an answer and balantly staring at me.
He got on his one knee sorry your grace please forgive the foolish person in front of you.
As he said that I put on a smile rolled my shoulder and in a glimpse I hold his hair in my hand and pull his head upwards towards me by his hair. Anger bubble inside him by my behaviour his eyes filled with rage , I unleash the spell that made the whole room glitter and stellar got winded in chains which no matter how much he try he can’t break.
Cloe look frightened and ask your grace why?
I shot her a glare and signaled to keep quiet.then I turned back to him and pulling his hair said now should not you introduce yourself now Hoax.
My words gave him a surprise but second latter he erupt in a thunderous laughter hahaha!!
Then trying to stop himself he say ah! Now I see you realised my identity that’s why you treated me like that , I also wondered to my evaluation you have a character of wonderful leader but treating your subordinate like thixwithout a reason fellout of my report and made me question myself.
But how? With a serious face he ask.
I am Tribuchna erstwhile, with so many titkes I hold with being close to the emperor, being head of empire most nibble family it’s natural people all inside and outside empire would be curious about me , but as I am not if empire there is little information about me, so someone like you who is known to have the pandora of information must walk the tiger den itself to look for the treasure of information from the source itself.
And I have mastey in emotional intelligence so looking behind your facade is not much tough I realised you are so eone very deeper than you appear to be.
Hoax I don’t like wasting time join my hands you like information I also want that with me you would have ultimate protection no place will become out of your reach you have no shortage of funds ever , so it intelligent of you if you decide to join me . But if you say no in the next morning you will be breakfast if crocodile inthe perch river.
He huff and said what kind of buisness is this and who treats their partner like this.
I said in a commanding tone stop bullshit I have no intention to entertain you and you are in no condition to complain. So open your mouth.
He said you nobles are all like that you also want to use me and will discard me when I am of no use.
Would you shut up stop using petty psychological tricks with me, you are not some traumatized victim ok you could be a victim but not a fool to understand world work like this and who you are to me so j should feel compassion to me it’s simply a deal.
And you were trying to do the same trying to use me to get information on me then sell it behind my back so someone could use it to sabotage me I shouted ..Not every person is like that you must have evaluated me until know I whispered enough so he could hear.
Then he look at me and say look at me and then he shooted a rifle against me and fire a shot, but my years of training and quick reflex it’s just grazed my shoulder and I immediately summoned my sword which is lying beside my bed with magic and cut if his arm in a single strike soon blood splattered on the floor on my face his arm that fell of started to wiggle like a wormntgat have left some life left in it.
Hoax cry in pain his shout filling the room full of agony while I look at him with bloodlust eyes. Then in front of his eyes I step on his wiggling arm and crush it with my own feet as I do that as if he can still feel his cry more loudly everytime his cries for help echoes everywhere that can shook of anyone he wails and wails while cloe who is too scared to even move sob in a corner quietly closing her eyes.
I grab him by the hair and pull his face towards me and said I have lived a life where these things doesn’t matter and I could make your live much worse than it so you would regret being alive you would regret that why your neck did not fell of instead of your arm. Use everything written. Use simple language make it dramatic and thriller add extra word.
The plush velvet of my bed yielded slightly under my weight. My loose nightshirt and pajamas felt oddly inappropriate for the scene unfolding before me. Stellar, my enigmatic new advisor, stood rigid, a statue carved from shadow and silence. He’d barely spoken a word since I’d summoned him to my bedchamber.
“Stellar,” I began, my voice low and deliberate, “I’ve heard whispers. Whispers of a man, a shadow, known only as ‘Hoax,’ a fount of all knowledge within the Empire. You understand the implications, don’t you? A network of information… a guild… it would be… invaluable.”
He nodded, his expression unreadable. It wasn’t a simple reserve; it was a deliberate, unsettling absence of engagement. His gaze was unnervingly intense, a constant appraisal. He showed none of the expected ambition, none of the eagerness to curry favor with a Grand Duchess, commander of the Jade Knightage, and sister-in-law to the Emperor himself. Instead, he seemed to dissect me, his eyes piercing the façade I carefully maintained.
I recalled his peculiar behavior during my conversation with Ethan about vassal loyalty – a subtle shift in posture, a barely perceptible flicker of something… knowing.
“Do you know this Hoax?” I pressed, the question hanging heavy in the air. “He’d be a valuable asset, wouldn’t you agree?”
His response? A blank stare. Audacious. Insolent.
I rose, the silken fabric of my nightgown whispering against my skin. My fingers, light at first, caressed his cheek, then tightened, snapping into a stinging slap that sent him reeling. His face, flushed crimson, contorted in shock. Cloe, my handmaiden, whimpered from the corner.
“Impudent!” I raged, my voice sharp as shattered glass. “I offer you respect, but that doesn’t grant you the right to treat me with such blatant disrespect! I am Princess of Creekwell, Grand Duchess, commander of the Jade Knightage, a Grand Mage… and you dare to ignore me?”
He dropped to one knee, his voice a choked whisper. “Forgive me, Your Grace.”
My smile was a predator’s grin. I grasped his hair, pulling his face upwards, my anger a burning ember in my chest. His eyes, now blazing with fury, mirrored my own. With a flick of my wrist, the room shimmered with arcane energy, binding him in shimmering chains that seemed to defy all attempts at breakage.
“Cloe,” I hissed, silencing her frightened gasp. “Be quiet.”
Then, my voice laced with deadly amusement, “Should you not introduce yourself, Hoax?”
His laugh, when it came, was a thunderclap. “Ah! So you’ve recognized me. And I must admit, my assessment of you was… almost entirely correct. A remarkable leader, though your treatment of subordinates needs some work.”
“How?” I demanded, my voice colder than a winter’s night.
“Tribuchna erstwhile. With your titles, your proximity to the Emperor, your position at the head of the Empire’s most influential family… everyone is curious about you. Yet information on you is remarkably scarce. Someone like me, who deals in secrets, would have to go straight to the source. And,” he added with a wry smile, “I’m rather adept at reading people. Your facade, though impressive, isn’t impenetrable.”
“Hoax,” I said, my voice dropping to a dangerous purr, “I don’t waste time. You deal in information; I command it. With me, you’ll have unparalleled protection, limitless resources… It’s a smart choice, wouldn’t you agree? But refuse… and by sunrise, you’ll be crocodile feed in the Perch River.”
His lip curled in disdain. “And this is your ‘business proposition’? This… treatment?”
My voice hardened to steel. “Enough with the theatrics. You’re in no position to bargain.”
“You nobles,” he spat, his voice laced with bitterness, “You think you can use me, discard me when I’m no longer useful.”
I roared with laughter, a sound that chilled Cloe to her very core. “Petty psychological games? You tried to use me for information, to sell me out to those who would sabotage me! Don’t mistake my patience for weakness!” I whispered, the last part low, so only he could hear.
He drew a pistol. A shot rang out. The bullet grazed my shoulder, a searing pain. In a flash, I summoned my enchanted sword and cleaved his arm in a single, swift stroke. Blood splattered, painting the room a gruesome tableau. His severed limb twitched, a grotesque parody of life.
With a chilling calmness, I stepped on the wriggling mass, crushing it under my heel. His screams filled the chamber, a symphony of agony. Cloe sobbed silently, her eyes wide with terror.
I pulled his face close, my voice a venomous whisper. “I’ve lived a life where these things… they don’t matter. I can make your existence a living hell, a regret you’ll carry to your grave. Tell me what I want to know, Hoax, or I’ll ensure that regret comes swiftly.”
