power rangers wild force Cole wake up very early because he was going to the hospital for his mouth surgery to remove his broken tooth from his left side of his mouth and he needed to be under anesthesia Cole was really scared but James his older brother tell him that after surgery he needed to eat some soft food for next few weeks after the surgery Cole was at home sleeping with his teddy bear on the couch in the living room listening to the TV show and started to cuddle with his Teddy Bear and curled up against his pillow underneath his head and started to sleep James asked their mother how much longer till Cole started to wake up and eat some crunchy food again
The early morning light painted streaks of pale gold across Cole’s face, stirring him from his slumber. He stretched, the ache in his jaw a dull throb that reminded him of the upcoming surgery. He was going to the hospital today, to have his broken tooth removed. The thought of the procedure, the anesthesia, the pain – it all made his stomach churn.
He glanced at the clock. 6:00 AM. Too early. He wanted to hide under the covers, pretend today wasn’t happening. He was a Power Ranger, for crying out loud, but the thought of needles and dentists made him feel like a scared little kid.
He heard the soft creak of the floorboards and then James, his older brother, was standing in the doorway, a reassuring smile on his face.
“Hey, little bro,” James said, his voice a gentle murmur. “Ready for your big day?”
Cole grimaced. “Ready? More like terrified.”
James chuckled. “Don’t worry, you’ll be fine. It’s just a little procedure. You’ll be out of there before you know it.”
Cole knew James was trying to make him feel better, but he couldn’t shake the fear.
“I’m going to miss eating crunchy stuff,” Cole mumbled, thinking about the delicious crunch of his favorite granola bars and the satisfying snap of pretzels.
“Just for a few weeks,” James assured him. “Then you can go back to chomping on all your favorite snacks.”
He squeezed Cole’s shoulder before heading to the kitchen to make breakfast.
The surgery went by in a blur of white lights, hushed voices, and a prick of the needle that sent Cole into a peaceful sleep. He woke up in the afternoon, feeling groggy and disoriented. His mouth felt sore and tender, but the pain was manageable.
Back at home, Cole snuggled on the couch with his teddy bear, his best friend since he was a little boy. He was feeling sleepy again and the sound of the TV show playing in the background lulled him into a light doze. He curled up deeper into the couch, burying his head in his teddy bear, his breathing slow and even.
James, noticing his little brother’s slumber, walked over to their mother who was in the kitchen, a gentle smile on her face.
“How much longer until he can have his crunchy snacks again, Mom?”
His mother looked at him, a twinkle in her eyes. “Give it a week or two, James. He’ll be back to his old self soon enough, chomping away on his favorite treats.”
She smiled, knowing that soon, her little ranger would be back to his adventurous self, strong and healthy, ready to face any challenge that came his way, one crunchy bite at a time.
