Finn and Talon are on a mission together when they get ambushed by Sloan, a man that betrayed them before. Sloane, wanting to manipulate them to reach a deal that would only benefit him, realizes that it would never work. Sloane attacks them with the intentions of killing them both. In the middle of the fight, Sloane pushes Finn far away, leaving him only with Talon. Finn had to watch from affar as Talon and Sloane fought. Finns’ eyes widened when he saw Sloane rip off the shapr end of Talons retractable spider legs and stab it through and through Talons side. Talon stumbled backwards, his hands bloody. Talon fell to the ground, fatigue growing over him. Finn worried and terrified out of his mind, yelled out to Talon as he ran over to him. Sloane watched as Finn tried to keep Talon awake, but to no use. Sloane gives Finn a deal, either they don’t give him what he wants’ and Talon dies, or they give him the information and talon lives. Finn, feeling helpless agrees to the deal, shamefully looking down at the unconscious bleeding Talon. Sloane smiles before knocking Finn out unconscious. Finn falls to the ground next to talon.
When Finn wakes up, he sees himself locked in a cell with Talon nowhere in sight. Finn panics before he notices Talon in the corner, unconscious on the ground. Finn runs up to him and scans talon over. He breathes out, realizing that Talons’ wound was healed, only leaving a nasty scar behind. Talon was still unconscious, probably from exhaustion. Finn calmed down for now, but it wouldn’t last as he knew he had to give Sloane the information.

The flickering neon signs of Neo-Kyoto cast a lurid glow on the rain-slicked alleyway. Finn, his blond hair plastered to his forehead, checked his pulse rifle, the sleek black metal cold against his gloved hand. Beside him, Talon, his monolid blue eyes sharp and calculating even in the dim light, adjusted the cybernetic spider-legs that retracted from his back. Their mission: retrieve the stolen data chip from the notorious black market dealer, Kaito.

They moved with practiced efficiency, a silent ballet of lethal grace. Then, the ambush.

Sloane, his face a mask of cold fury, materialized from the shadows, a blur of motion and lethal energy blasts. His betrayal still stung, a bitter taste in Finn’s mouth. This wasn’t a negotiation; it was an extermination.

The fight was brutal, a chaotic dance of energy weapons and close-quarters combat. Finn’s bo-staff, split into two deadly escrima sticks, whirred as he deflected Sloane’s attacks, creating an opening for Talon. But Sloane was too fast, too ruthless. With a roar, he hurled Finn across the alley, slamming him against a dumpster.

Finn’s world exploded in a kaleidoscope of pain and disorientation. He watched, helpless, as Sloane engaged Talon. The fight was over quickly. Finn’s blood ran cold as he saw Sloane tear a jagged piece of Talon’s spider-leg, its sharpened edge glistening ominously, and plunge it into Talon’s side.

Talon staggered back, a crimson fountain erupting from the wound. He crumpled to the ground, his body convulsing, his usually stoic features contorted in pain. Finn’s screams were lost in the city’s cacophony. He scrambled to Talon’s side, desperately trying to stem the flow of blood.

Sloane approached, a smug smile playing on his lips. “The data chip, Finn. Give it to me, or watch your friend bleed out.”

The weight of the decision crushed Finn. He looked down at Talon, his breath shallow and ragged, his blue eyes fluttering closed. Shame washed over him as he agreed, his voice barely a whisper. He betrayed his own friend, his only companion.

Then, darkness.

He awoke in a cold, steel cell. Panic clawed at him. Talon was gone. Then, he saw him. In the shadowed corner, Talon lay unconscious. Relief flooded Finn, overwhelming the fear. He rushed to his friend, his heart pounding. The wound was gone, replaced by a long, angry scar. Talon was alive.

The exhaustion in Talon’s face was palpable, but the terrifying wound was healed. Some advanced tech must have mended his injury. It was still a chilling testament to the brutality of their encounter.

The weight of Sloane’s deal remained. Finn had to deliver the information—information that could compromise the entire security of the Neo-Kyoto sector. He knew what was at stake. He had saved Talon, but at what cost? The chill of betrayal clung to him, far colder than the damp of the cell. The future, once a bright horizon, now seemed a bleak and shadowed expanse. He had a debt to repay, a price to pay for his survival, and the knowledge that he had willingly betrayed his friend.
