What is an AI storyboard generator?
An AI storyboard generator turns a story, script, or creative brief into a sequence of planned shots. In Story321, choose saved writing or paste content, edit the action and dialogue for each shot, then create storyboard images only where they help.
Script to storyboard
Use a Story321 document or paste a story, script, treatment, or creative brief.
Editable shot cards
Update the visual action and dialogue, then add, remove, or reorder shots in the same workspace.
Optional storyboard images
Set shared image direction, try one shot, generate remaining images, and choose from saved candidates.
Example: four written shots for a product story
This original text-to-storyboard example shows how action and voiceover can guide a short sequence. Open Image direction to review the optional visual guidance for a shot.
Example only. It is not generated output. Adapt the shots, dialogue, and image direction to your own story, cast, brand, and production constraints.

Plan, edit, and visualize each shot in one workspace
Keep written shot planning and optional image generation together, so you can change a scene and visualize it without changing tools.
Start with your words
Use your Story321 writing or paste a story, script, treatment, or creative brief.
Edit every shot
Refine the action and dialogue or voiceover for each shot, then add, remove, or reorder shots.
Record camera direction
Open shot settings to add framing, camera movement, and suggested duration when those details matter.
Set a shared image direction
Choose image style, aspect ratio, and a shared visual description before creating storyboard images.
Generate storyboard images as needed
Try one image, generate an individual shot, or generate the remaining unillustrated shots.
Return to saved work
Changes save automatically, and saved image candidates stay available with their shot. A written storyboard remains useful without images.
How to use the AI storyboard generator
Start with a written board, then alternate between editing shots and creating images whenever a visual reference helps.
Choose or paste content
Select a Story321 document or paste content, then set a title and between 2 and 12 shots.
Generate and edit the text board
Create the written shots, then refine the action, dialogue or voiceover, order, and optional camera details in the workspace.
Create images when useful

AI storyboard generator FAQ
Answers about creating, editing, and illustrating a storyboard in Story321.
What is an AI storyboard generator?
It turns a story, script, or creative brief into an ordered set of planned shots. Story321 lets you edit the action and dialogue for each shot and create optional storyboard images in the same workspace.
Can I create a storyboard from a script?
Yes. Choose one of your Story321 documents or paste a script, story, treatment, or creative brief. A source can be up to 12,000 characters.
Can I start with an idea instead of a finished script?
Yes. Paste a story idea or creative brief, then edit the generated shots until the sequence fits your project.
Is the AI storyboard generator free?
Generating a text storyboard costs 1 credit. Each generated image costs 12 credits. Image settings alone do not generate an image or use credits.
How is this different from a normal image generator?
A normal image generator makes individual images from prompts. Story321 first organizes your story into editable, ordered shots, then lets you create images for individual or remaining shots.
Do I need to sign in, and how many shots can I create?
You can paste content before signing in. Sign in to choose saved Story321 writing or create and save a storyboard. Choose between 2 and 12 shots, then add, remove, and reorder them in the workspace.
Do I have to generate images or redraw after editing?
No. You can keep and continue editing a text-only storyboard. Editing a shot or image settings does not automatically generate a new image or use credits.
Will my storyboard and image candidates be saved?
Changes to the title, image settings, and shots save automatically. Saved image candidates stay with their shot, so you can return to Storyboards and continue later.
